Questions about Stargate SG-1

Okay - thanks to Netflix I have now watched every episode in order for the 10 seasons the show was on. I have some questions as to what happened in the very last episode. If you are familiar with this series please message me. Thanks!

9news emailed me about the weather

Over the next few days we'll see temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees over the Front Range. These readings will be very close to the record highs for those dates.

Windy conditions over the plains will continue Monday with 15 to 30 mph winds and gusts to 50 mph. The wind will die down dramatically on Tuesday.

Dry conditions will continue in mountain areas until Thursday when a fresh, weak storm system will fly in from the West Coast.

I think we got 1 to 2 inches...

but 9 news said:

Today:A brutally cold arctic airmass has gripped the northern plains states and all of eastern Colorado. Morning temperatures have been in the single digits, but biting cold northerly winds have sent wind chill readings into the -10 to -20 degree range.

Stay home if you can today; it's just too cold to be out and about.

As for snowfall accumulations, most metro area locations have reported about one to three inches of light snowfall, and 2 to 6 inches of snow in the foothills, but WINTER STORM WARNINGS continue for the mountains, where up to 2 and a half feet of snow has fallen. Blowing and drifting will still make travel a bit hazardous over the higher mountain passes. If you're headed home from the ski areas, you might want to be on the road by 2:00 p.m.

High temperatures across the greater metro area will only be in the lower teens, at best. Remember to bundle up if you absolutely have to leave home.

Blackberry Miracle

My Blackberry was missing since about mid morning until a few minutes ago. I had retraced my steps, sent out an email to the staff asking for people to look around, and several folks in the office were praying for its return. Still, nothing...

I set my intention about half an hour ago that I was ready for a miracle return, even one that made me feel silly....

I decided that even on vibrate I could make it really obvious where it was, so if it was on someone's desk under a pile of papers it would still be noticed. I sent 10 email messages to each of my 4 email addresses that vibrate the Blackberry, and then I pulled up the Blackberry Manager (for IT professionals) and I re-sent the service book, the IT service policies, and I changed the password on the unit.

Then I send a PIN message to the unit straight from the BES server, and as I did that, I felt something vibrate... in my chair. I rolled my chair backwards slowly, and there on the floor, where it had NOT been a short time before, was my Blackberry unit.

I think I had it clipped to my jeans (it doesn't stay well on the jeans, I usually clip it to my shirt on Fridays) and it fell into the chair... but anyway it is back! And I have turned the sound to normal instead of vibe...

Record High today, Snow on Thursday...

Denver set a new record high of 78 degrees Tuesday afternoon. The old record was 74, last set in 1995.

Warm air will remain over Colorado for Wednesday through the afternoon and evening. Late Wednesday night into Thursday morning a polar front will move over eastern Colorado.

Light drizzle or freezing drizzle along with a few flurries will be possible over the Front Range, Front Range foothills and eastern plains Thursday.

This cold front will not produce any snowfall in Colorado's ski resorts west of the Continental Divide. Eldora and Loveland ski areas may see extremely light accumulations.

Facebook really rocks!

I joined Facebook a few days ago. Was it really that recently? Yes, I think this is day 3. I have over 30 friends on it now, people from my current life and from my past.

I joined to see a co-worker's xeriscape pictures (I'm a virtual gardener, taking vicarious pleasure in gardening shows and other people's gardens!) and decided to look up some people from schools and places I had been. The result has been immensely satisfying and healing.

I am someone who certainly suffered from her share of low self esteem and teenage angst, not realizing for years that most of us did. Its amazing to be who I am now, a 40 something with a full, vibrant life - and to connect with people from a time when I was less than whole. Not only does it help me to appreciate the girl-I-was more fully, but I realize just how wonderful my life is now.

Certainly I have issues - who doesn't? - and problems - likewise, who doesn't? - but I have so much richness in my life. Great kids and friends, a satisfying job, a full emotional and spiritual life. Sure, material possessions aren't up where I wish they were - but I am aware this morning of the vibrant, full, amazing person I am - and the people that I knew are diverse and fascinating and wonderful.

This is a great gift!
